General Description:
The USPTA Junior Circuit in Contra Costa County is a series of local one weekend tournaments designed to introduce less experienced junior tournament players to competition, and to prepare them for higher level tournament play.
Points are awarded for each round played in each tournament to qualify for the season ending Tournament of Champions.
A very unique aspect to the USPTA Jr Circuit is that coaching is allowed.
If more information is needed, please call or email John Sharpe at 925-286-7807 or sharpejsd@comcast.net.

Age eligibility:
Age eligibility is determined by the age you will be at the end of the month of any given tournament.

Coaching:
One of the unique and exciting aspects of the USPTA Jr Circuit is that coaching is allowed by a designated coach (pro or parent). At the time of the player check in for every round, the designated coach must also check in to be official.(no coach can be designated after the official check in). All coaching will be conducted at the fence during side changeovers in a set, during the two minute break between sets. No coaching is allowed during a seven point set or ten point match tiebreak.
Entry fee:
The entry fee is $25 paid at the time of online registration.
Entry fees are non-refundable after the draws are made.
First match times:
Players are responsible for checking online under the tournament name for their match days and times. Times may be checked after 12noon the Wednesday before the tournament starts.
Point sytem:
Players will earn points during the circuit year for the Tournament of Champions.
Tournament of Champions:
The top 12 point earners for each age group division at the end of the regular season will be eligible to play in the season ending TOC at St Mary’s College in Moraga. For various reasons some of the top 12 players will chose not to play thereby opening up spots for others. For those players not in the top 12 and who wish to play please email John Sharpe (sharpejsd@comcast.net) to reserve a spot on the wait list. Those on the wait list will be chosen for play based on point standings.
