The Dynamic Computer Tennis Rating
The Dynamic Computer Tennis Rating (DCTR) program is a program developed in conjunction with the USTA NorCal. The DCTR program rates players based on the score of every match entered into the system. The program gives a player an individual singles rating and a doubles rating. It will also rate each doubles team. This program has many benefits for the individual player, club manager, section and USTA. More Info
DCTR News Release More InfoElectronic Player Folder (EPF)
Is a database management system that allows the user to search for players or organizations, input data including adding new players and organizations, import data from other sources (i.e. National monthly membership files) and edit data. The program uses a standard Access database, which has a fully functional report writer, allowing the user to create custom reports.
When the user searches for a player, they will have access to that persons address, phone number, membership information, League information (all teams played on for current and past years), Tournament information, NTRP rating history (complete with Verified ratings), appeal/grievance history and activity. Activity can include any participation in your section's events, from a 1-2-3 clinic to attendance at a fundraiser. The program allows the user to create the events that will be in the database.
When the user searches for an organization, they will have access to all pertinent
information for that organization. Besides names and addresses, EPF allows
you to input directions to the organizations. A survey allows the user to input
information about the organization; how many courts are available? What surface?
How many lighted courts? Wheelchair accessibility? In addition, EPF will allow
you to easily keep track of your member organizations to gauge your progress
towards meeting your KPI's. There is also the ability to record "Site Data Collection Forms" for
USA Tennis 1-2-3 programs.
Using EPF makes managing the Tennis1-2-3 program very easy. In addition to
having the "Site Data Collection Form" information, the original "Site Commitment Form" data
would also be entered for each organization hosting a 1-2-3 event. After National
has processed the yellow cards, their data would be downloaded into EPF and
your staff could make corrections as necessary.
Having all of your information in one location would make it very easy for you to analyze your data. You could track people as they move from Tennis 1-2-3 to leagues. You could also select people who are active in leagues and market your tournaments to this select group. In addition, you can examine participation in events by the organization that hosts the event. You could also find players that are not currently active in specific tennis events and direct your marketing towards them.
TOPDOG, The Team Scheduler (Sold to the USTA)
Creates round robin schedules for USTA leagues. The schedule can be created
using Flexible Scheduling or Predetermined days. Flexible scheduling gives
a period of time for the match to be held, the specific date to be determined
by the captains (as per NorCals method of scheduling.) Predetermined days sets a specific date for the match. "The Team Scheduler" will
schedule many local leagues and can divide a local league into divisions
at the discretion of the user.
Many facilities hosting USTA leagues have more than one group at their site. "The Team Scheduler" avoids court conflicts. As teams are entered, home facilities will be stored for ease of data entry. If two teams in the same division have the same home facility, one will be scheduled "home" and one "away" to avoid facility conflicts. Facility information can be entered such as contact information, number of available courts and starting time.
In addition to scheduling, the program manages background information for each team: captain and co-captains information and team rosters. "The Team Scheduler" will print numerous reports, schedules, rosters, match results and labels. Integration with TTT (Touch Tone Tennis) and NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) is possible.
The core of the program is to schedule matches for a division. The program will allow for a large league to be divided into two smaller divisions. Each division can be assigned a single, double (or any whole number) round-robin format.
